Do you go with Onix's massively buffed base stats or Geodude's vastly superior movepool? Does your team need speed control and healing from Furret, good coverage and early parting shot from Watchog, or raw power and survivability from Gumshoos? There are meaningful tradeoffs in stats, typings, movepools, and abilities between similar species. Pokémon Empire!Įvery Pokémon has a niche that distinguishes itself from its competitors (like all the route 1 birds or regional fish Pokémon). Can you solve the mysteries of the war, survive the brutal politics of the powerful factions, and ultimately live with the consequences of your decisions? Prepare for your personal and pre-existing beliefs to be challenged by the poignant, morally gray decisions waiting for you in. But now you return to join this new league and help decide the future of Telius. So with the region weary and divided, how will Telius move into the future? Enter YOU the player: the child of a noble family, you were sent away before the war began. Their singular goal is restoring the region to its former glory. This nobility and their soldiers-now on the outside looking in-has regrouped under the moniker 'Team Royale' (pronounced like casino royale). Many resent the new influx of Yo'aki soldiers and refugees others remain loyal to the longstanding traditions of the old nobility. Many Telian citizens are resistant to change, harbor old grudges, and don't trust how this new Council and Pokémon league seek to reshape their daily lives. But even under this supposed new stability, old fissures remain. To aid in this, the Council has established a new Pokémon league of hand-picked leaders to manage the various provinces of Telius. This "Council" is now overseeing the reconstruction of the war-ravaged region and dealing with the culture shock of their newly formed alliance with Yo'ak. Now, a new oligarchy of representatives has seized power, supported by foreign Yo'aki mercenaries they enlisted to overthrow the king's regime. But eventually he plunged the region into division and violence and in the end was overthrown by his own people. The king, a once benevolent man who ruled through the guidance of many noble families, ushered in an era of prosperity and industry. What is right and wrong? How do we address war, racism, education, politics, good and evil, and the human nature itself? And who gets to decide? Enter the Telius region, two and a half years removed from a revolution to overthrow King Tobias II.
